The friend who gave me my first trice (yes Smile) claims he was clocked by the police doing 56mph down the Wellsway into Bath - says they couldn't book him because it didn't have an engine (although they looked for one). Not that I condone breaking speed limits at all.
It's character building that's why.

i like going down the big verry twisty hills around castelton in torrential rain.
1 you cant see but it dose help if you know the hill wellBig smile
2 you can do serious driftingWink
3 my favourite one has a 90% bend at the bottom but the nice lady how has a very steep up hill drive running straight on from the hill do not mind, when i do my giggling semi in control stop. they normally wave nowPray well i think it is waving
4 you cant see very important that one as it gives you that Adrenalin boost
5 i have drum brakes important safety tip when you friend says god i bet your drums are hot "DO NOT TOUCH THEM!" they are dhoDoh
6 i some time take my glasses of when it is  nice weather, see number 4 and 1 (above 50mph i find the specs are useless any way)
7 remember you are a grown up act your age and stop showing your kids up (my teen son insisted in putting the last one in)Embarrassed
As the only sane person ever to have existed,I am constantly surrounded on all sides by freaks and weirdos, this can be disconcerting to say the least.

I wouldn't have thought Wellsway was steep enough! some other hills surrounding Bath yes (Winsley Hill Nr Bradford or back road from Monkton Farleigh to Bathford (25% to 33%) or even Bannerdown, Brass Knocker would be if it wasn't for hairpins, and bloody scary drops), but not Wellsway!! IMHO

You may be right - I only had it 2nd hand from the landlordBeer. Although its a nice smooth descent and this was an early trice with the big back wheel.

Thanks for tips about good hills I'm looking forward to them closing the B3110 at Midford then a speed trial from the S!! (I may even buy a computer)

Favourite bit of extreme downhill run is the chalk track down Haycombe Hill by Sutton Veny.
It's character building that's why.
