Any recommendations for a jacket suitable for a recumbent (trike) I have seen an Endura Gridlock that might fit the bill, any ideas ?

Just hold it there, don't move and don't drop it, I'll be back in a while.(If it's safe).

Just try to get the zip line off centre, if poss.  The inevitable pooling will soak you otherwise.

ICE used to sell a bespoke one, sadly no more.  The supplier went to the wall
Local Rep for Bristol.

Try to get one that fits as tightly as possible, any folds or creases will collect pools of water.Myself I have not yet found a jacket, except Rainshield that actually keeps you dry.Don't waste your money on Gore-Tex jackets,IMO.
Try Rainshield, excellent and trousers too,but really fragile,be careful,if the material snags it tears.I have stayed dry for hours in constant rain on the bike wearing these.

Or use a pull-over without lower zip?  (The Endura Gridlock has a zipped rear pocket - not much use on a 'bent?)
Anyone here tried a Buffalo Teclite Cycling Shirt ?  (Yes, it has a zipped back pocket....)

Freestyle?
Oh, I was going to recommend trying their stand at the York Rally where I used to pick up a new Goretex every couple of years because that was about how long one lasted with daily use and I wasn't going to pay more than £60 for that!
I've been particularly impressed with the Chapack lightweight Race Goretex that lasted me 5 years, and in the end it was the zip rather than the fabric failing.
Have tried other fabrics but everything else I've tried has either not been as waterproof or not as breathable - which may or may not be a good thing depending on the weather on the day.
Oh, BTW - the secret to making Goretext last - remember to throw it in the washing machine at least once a month!

The O2.I managed to tear mine, but ordering another. The material is similar to paint sprayers overalls, with a rubbery type coating, strange stuff, very lightweight. They come big too,so check sizes.

Forgot to add,the Rainshield does not have a rear pocket,or any other sticky out things on the back that digs into your back on a recumbent.
I have a gore-tex bike jacket,it is about as waterproof as toilet paperLOL

What type/brand/age is it and how have you treated it?
I find that Goretex does what it is supposed to but is often very over-priced and over-hyped.
And people being scared to throw it in the washing machine trashes it.

It's a Gore,bike wear,cost me a small fortune,and never been any better than a £40 jacket.
Tried the wash in and tumble tumble dry method, and the spray on treatment.Could have bought a new jacket with all the treatments I have bought.
What I have found is,Goretex is ok,for walking about and generally keeping you dry(ish)whilst shopping.Wear it on a moving bike and you get wet.Driving rain soon gets in.
It does not breathe as you would be lead to believe,in certain conditions you sweat or get wet,or both, lol.
It is nearly 3 years old.
