Alan, it might help persuade somebody to go for vacant positions if you gave a "job description" and explained the remuneration package!

The remuneration package is pretty straight-forward... £150K plus company car and the keys to the executive washroom at Curborough...
That's what I get anyway, I assume all the others are on the same package??
The pension scheme largely pays for performance-enhancing drugs... for details apply to Mr M. Burrows...
Publicity Officer does er... publicity... Last man standing in that role was Ian and he did a lot of good stuff in terms of promotional material and encouraging non-racers to come to events (which I still think was a great idea and I am more than happy to say so...).
It has been vacant for some time now.
Technical Officer has been primarily responsible for developing/maintaining/supporting the timing system. I would expect that to be the main aim of the game for the
Assuming anybody stands of course...
Nominations (with a seconder) need to be submitted on the back of a fifty pound note to the secretary...

For clarification:
There was a Technical Officer before there was a timing system so there's a bit more to the job than Alan says. You also need to keep all the bits of the laptop together and make sure they all appear at each race. It also helps to have a passable understanding of the sign-on and timing-system software. You don't need to go to every race but you should aim to meet up with the hardware fairly regularly to charge batteries, check everything's still there, etc to make sure races run smoothly.
