Please read - recent outage

Friday, March 12, 2010 7:37:12 AM

The BHPC Committee would like to apologise for the recent outage of the website and forum. This has been due to some data security concerns and other issues within the Committee. These have now been resolved.

We would like to ask that the reasons and actions that may or may not have taken place are not discussed in open forum in a way that could be construed as inflammatory or derogatory - if you are unsure of your comment, then please could we ask you to take five minutes to think about it, and if necessary, please check the forum rules.

We apologise for the disruption caused, and look forward to seeing you at an event or two soon.

Special Discount for BHPC Members on Polar Tags

Monday, October 26, 2009 11:56:47 AM

Many Club members ride on their own and the possibility of an Emergency is always present.

In case of emergency (ICE) is a program that enables first responders, such as paramedics, firefighters, and police officers, to identify victims and contact their next of kin to obtain important medical information. Originally the ICE designation was used to identify emergency numbers stored on a mobile phone, the designation is recognised by paramedics & medical personnel worldwide and is being more widely used and incorporated into a number of safety products.

Sherri Donaldson has discovered a product called PolarTags which are personal ID tags carrying the ICE designation and are designed to be mounted on your helmet, shoe or on your wrist.

BHPC Members can enter the code 'bhpv2009' to get a 10% discount on these products

Carrying I.D can provide the voice you need when you can't communicate - ensuring those who come to your aid give you the help you need.

PolarTags provides a unique range of affordable sport and personal I.D products designed for the specific needs of individuals, allowing you to easily carry I.D any time.

Our Chairman Richard is unfortunately having to take a leave of absence to deal with a health problem.

I have been asked to stand in temporarily until he returns.

I'm sure you will all join me in wishing Richard a very speedy recovery.

In addition to the World Championships to be held in the Netherlands, this year there is also to be a European Championship event, in Leer, Germany.  Dates are 7th - 9th August.  No more details are available yet.

This has only just been announced, hence the unfortunate clash with one of the BHPC races.
